Sweater Blazer // Sherpa Teddy Jacket // Black Leather Heels
Gray Jeans (my new favorite brand) // Black Lounging Leggings (I bought 3!)
Hi all! Happy New Year!!
I can’t believe its 2020-such a strange number! I haven’t been posting my monthly clothing items I’ve bought this past year -oops sorry- but I have actually been tracking it via Mint.com since 2012. Mint.com is a free, great tool to use to keep a budget for your household, clothing, and everything in between! I highly recommend starting to use it as you simply link it to your bank account and credit cards and it automatically tracks for you. Of course there are some limitations where you’ll need to categorize some items but once you do it once, you can hit a button and it will remember next time a transaction happens. For instance, I just need to categorize J.crew once under “clothing” and it will automatically categorize it next time! It’s definitely an eye opening tool for sure!

This skirt I actually made from sequins fabric I bought from Joann’s for the Christmas cruise we went on in December! It’s elastic and I love it! If you sew and interested in making your own skirt, here is a tutorial. I also linked some similar ones here and here you can buy 🙂
I bought in small and this is literally one of my favorite coats! It’s like a warm bear hug!
This dress was a steal for $13 at Forever 21. It’s not online but a few similar ones are here and here.
The elastic band and the darker red in pleats in this skirt were perfect for the holidays!
I’ve been searching for gray jeans and literally found the best brand: Abercrombie and Fitch which is a brand I have never worn before even in high school because they were very expensive and my parents couldn’t afford them. But now, they are reasonably price and come in short, regular, and tall! So stoked! They offer midrise which is awesome for apple shaped gals like me!
2019 Budget Recap
Clothing Budget: $2400 or ($200/month)
Spent: $2527 (oops well I went over by $127 last minute to get heels, a hoodie because it was kind of chilly in West Palm, material for the sequins skirt, and the sherpa jacket- cause it’s the best thing ever!) Although I spent over my allotted budget, I’m okay with that as it wasn’t too much over for the year! I girl can try 🙂
Luxury Items: I usually have a budget of 2 purses, and 2 small goods each year. This year was a little different as I saved up all my blogging money, credit card points, and sold a bunch of items to go on a shopping spree in Italy. I bought pretty much everything I’ve ever dreamed about shoe wise-haha! And 3 purses! I ended up spending about $800 beyond my stash but that’s not too bad, ya know!
Goal Bag: Just a quick note to say that I bought my holy grail bag this year because I met a HUGE savings goal that I had set for myself. When I reached that goal, I would treat myself to my dream bag. Well the stars aligned as this preloved 2016 Chanel Chevron 2.55 Reissue popped up right when I transferred the last bit of money into my savings account! It was a major spurge compared to what I normally spend but the savings goal was also a MAJOR accomplishment so I very happy with where I am. PS- I buy MOST of my preloved bags here as I 100% trust them for authenticity and love the easy return policy!
I am going to continue to track my budget in 2020 and my budget of $2400 in clothes will remain the same. Hopefully I’ll quit being lazy and share with you each month what I bought-haha! Do you have any new years goals? Will you start keeping a budget?
