What is the Nordstrom Sale?
Every year, Nordstrom has a big anniversary sale on the newest season fall fashion. The prices are pretty good and sometimes up to 40% off the latest drop so you are getting the newest arrivals for a huge discount. So now is the time to assess what you need in your wardrobe and buy what you need for fall and winter. I love being ahead of the game instead waiting throughout the season for a sale or even end of the season.
How to Shop?
In order to get in on the best prices and shopping early, I had FOMO 2 years ago and got the Nordstrom Card which gives you access before the general public. My status is Insider so I get to shop on 8/13. This is the best way to shop the pieces you are eyeing and snag your size before it sells out. Nordstrom does restock some items but the hottest pieces always are gone early! As a new cardholder, you get a $60 note (gift card) and can earn points towards more notes!
My Picks and Best Way to Shop
I’m going to tell you now the #Nsale can get overwhelming with the large inventory of items available and you don’t want to just buy, buy, buy with no strategy. Your wallet and closet won’t thank you for that! I believe the best way to shop the sale is to look at your closet and assess what items you are missing in your wardrobe and what gives you the best value during this sale.
For me, I believe that shoes (boots, sneakers, flats) outerwear (jackets, coats) sweaters, and accessories (designer sunglasses-yes Gucci sunnies are on sale) give me the best value. I have been eyeing a black moto jacket since last year and never found one that I liked. But I see one this year!
So here are my picks based on category!
The Best Outwear
My favorite 2 picks are the Rails Military Jacket (I got one last year and worth the investment as its super soft and I wore it countless times) and the Drapey Beige Trench (major heart eyes for the color)! I forgot to list it but a denim jacket is a MUST and wardrobe staple so if you don’t have one, grab this Madewell one!
The Best Tops and Sweaters
This category is pretty hard but if I were to pick 2, I’m going for the cowl neck sweater and chunky button up sweater!
The Best Shoes and Accessories
And the last but not least my favorite category is shoes! I am eyeing the leopard mules! But wanted to share that the Veja shoes are very comfy right off the bat and TTS and these ankle booties will be the fastest item to sell out this year so grab them while you can! Also designer items will sell out and these Burberry aviators are super classic! The Gucci ones are an amazing price at $193! Wowsers!
